Mandy Rose is Associate Professor – Digital Culture, Director of UWE’s Digital Cultures Research Centre and Co-Director of i-Docs. Her research looks at the intersection between documentary and networked culture. A filmmaker and producer of interactive media; during twenty years at the BBC Mandy led interactive and participatory projects including the “mass observation”; camcorder project – Video Nation (94-2000). Mandy’s recent writing appears in The Journal of Documentary Studies (Intellect Books 2013), The Documentary Film Book (Palgrave 2013) and DIY Citizens; Critical Making and Social Media (MIT Press 2014.) With Judith Aston and Sandra Gaudenzi she is co-editor of i-Docs: The Evolving Practices of Interactive Documentary (Wallflower Press 2017).
